Alt Z Life

Alt Z, for a windows user is about toggling between this and that. The project research shows this to be a consistent behaviour and need at a larger scale. As Indian millennials cope with balancing conservative values and bold aspirations, the solution is made for a comfortable experience for both active as well as passive users of a single device.

This project research arrives at six insights into the needs and motivations of Indian millennials. These insights can be used to frame problems and design briefs for industries such as hand-held devices, consumer electronics, transportation services, e-commerce, FMCG, hyperlocal services, entertainment, branding and advertising. The project demonstrates how to create personas for the target market and also how to use these insights for creating meaningful solutions for them. The solutions were based on technology that would process usage data on the mobile device instead of central servers leading to more relevant features and options based on individual usage.

Five ‘master concepts’ were generated and here, how the essence of 'Hold and Throw' runs from ideation to marketing, has been described. Its core concept is about subtly communicating with one's device to behave in a certain way, much like winking at your bestie to magically clean up the house when a surprise guest arrives.

The final solution has been heavily simplified from a technology standpoint, however the core purpose is met gracefully.
