Gov Wallet

A new digital payment feature in HPB’s Healthy 365 mobile app powered by DBS Bank in partnership with Government Technology Agency (GovTech), the Health Promotion Board (HPB) and Network for Electronic Transfers (Nets). It can be used at over 500 participating local food and beverage (F&B) merchants at launch and over 2,500 merchants are expected to start accepting the credits by March 2023.

App users of Singapore who have collected “Healthpoints” from participating in HPB’s activities can convert these points into credits, known as HPB Credit$.

These credits can then be used to purchase select healthier options at participating F&B outlets across the island, by scanning the Nets QR code or SG QR code at the stores using the Healthy 365 app.

This project aimed at discovering a simple user experience to redeem points to GovWallet credits and use those credits to pay at certain merchant locations. The ideal user experience had to be compromised for the first version due unavailability of the api in the usage flow that will provide  Healthpoint information in the GovWallet screen, which can now only show credit$ balance.

The problem was solved by providing easy-to-follow instructions about redeeming points.
