Being an innovative organization, Honeywell is looking at various methods to adopt the paradigm shift in connected technology to reinforce its traditional business model. The Idea Incubation Lab (IIL) is one such way of adapting to the trend. The IIL is a network of six connected technology labs across five Honeywell Technology Solutions (HTS) locations around the world, each with a unique IoT theme based on infrastructure and region (9). The labs have been set up to provide the right environment to foster new ideas by Honeywell employees that would drive the strategic goals of the organization.

How do employees make efficient use of this enabling concept?

The IIL is built around some people who will drive innovation, some who will support them, some who will advice them, some who will validate them. A good lab not only has the right instruments but also has scientists who will use them to perform experiments.

Project Brief: To design an engaging and immersive creative culture for employees with the perspective of capturing and nurturing quality ideas. The goal is to communicate the intrinsic value proposition of the IIL through practices.
